After years of BlackBerry, I just switched over to the 4s and have some (hopefully) quick questions:

How do I get pictures from the "camera roll" to the "photo library"?

What's the difference between the "camera roll" and "photo library"?

I've searched the forums and the blogs for help on these and can't seem to find any answers....or I'm just missing it.

Camera roll is where pics from your camera go...

Photo library is where photos you sync TO your phone would go...

They will remain separate entities unless you sync your camera pics to your computer, and then back to your iPhone.
