Mail Settings and Batt Life

I was getting terrible batt life. I was losing 10% an hour. So I decided to to see if I change my mail setting if that would help. Below is what I changed the settings too and I am losing about 2% an hour now.

Exchange Active Sync Mail Acct - Push
Gmail Acct - Fetch every Hour instead of 15 min
RoadRunner Email - Fetch every Hour instead of 15 min

I had mine set to every 15 min at first. You try lowering it to 30 min and see if that helps.

you can set up gmail as exchange and its fine.. then it just gets pushed


the server to use is m.google.com

I had the same issue with my old 3GS phone, I set the email to push and turned off some of my apps location service's.

You'll also want to enter your email address for username.

i have 2 accounts (RoadRunner) both on 15 mins... I dont get even close to 10%/hour??

check all the apps you have running and shut most of them down. (dbl click home, then tap/hold till it wiggles, then close them)
