Try as I might I can't get Siri to announce notifications as they arrive. I'd like it to do that when I am in the car or have my earphones plugged in.

    Can anyone help?

As far as I know the only way she does it is if you ask her to. Example "seri read me my text message"

I think you may be right but it doesn't look like that in the Apple video with the jogger. It's no big deal but would be interesting to see if I can do it.

Accessibility settings VoiceOver is how it does that.

VoiceOver is very annoying unless you need it so I wouldn't enabled that if I were you, OP.

In the video with the jogger that is what has happened, he has asked Siri to read his text message.

Thanks, I think it would be annoying once the novelty wore off!!!

    Thanks for the reply though.

Although you can set triple tap on home button to toggle voice over on or office so I will try it in the car.

Very interesting but I'm not sure I would see the appeal unless I was driving and wanted the messages read aloud to me in that situation. Otherwise it would it would be odd, IMHO.

I agree.. I turned it on, and it got annoying just getting back to the home screen.. haha

I would love to have it auto read texts and notifications as well though. As mad said, if it could tell if you were in the car on bluetooth or something.

It will only read it when connected to Bluetooth, I did this in my car and it even reads a message that you are about to send.
