trouble getting music from iTunes onto new iPhone 4S

I've updated iTunes to 10.5 and registered my phone but now can't drag any music in iTunes onto the new phone. It has the circle with a line through it when I drag it......it plays fine in iTunes, so how do I get it onto my phone? About a year ago someone stole my iTouch and I haven't used iTunes since.....

Can someone help please........

When the phone is plugged in. Go to the music tab on the device pane. Then look for sync music. Hit that and you should be good.

Thanks but a another question please

There are check marks next to all the songs and most of them are my husbands...........I've tried to uncheck them and it doesn't work.........I only want certain songs and can't figure out how to do that.
