I switched from a 3GS and the new 4S zooms in way too far when you double tap on a pic. Is there any way to change this?

Hi there. I have the same prob with the double tap zoom. I have had a 3gs and I've got an iphone 4 actually and I am suffering this problem since updating to ios 5.

    The problem is:

I enter into my camera roll. I select any picture token with my iphone. I tap twice to zoom in and I just can see a few pixel since it gets zoomed to something like a 64x zoom.

Please somebody with the fix? with the same problem? any suggestion?

PD: My iphone is not jailbroken, in case of wondering.

    Thanks!

Pinch is one way of zooming as good in iOS 5 as in iOS 4 used to be. The prob is double tapping. There exists this way double tapping as always we did. It works... Too large zoom anyway. Extremely large

No one more with this issue? Really?

We've always had pinch to zoom. Double tapping was a convenient way to zoom in for more details, but the current zoom level is crazy and useless.

    Hi rmcnelly,

I had the same problem for a few months now... and it was driving me crazy.
After playing around with the settings, it turned out that the fix was sinmple, at least for my case.
I went to Settings, General, Accessibility and turned off the Zoom option.
Now double tapping on a picture zooms in to 1:1, as it should.
Unfortunately if you turn the Zoom on again , it will go back to the crazy 1000X zoom )

That works great! I hope Apple fixes the bug though because I'm old and need the triple finger tap to zoom sometimes ;-)

this is good to know.... I didn't realize it was that setting causing the issue.
