AT&T or Apple?

Whichever is more convenient for you...there's really no "better" option when you're simply ordering online for delivery. If you were to go get in line, i would say go to a suburban or even a rural AT&T store as the crowd would probably a lot less severe.

I think Apple would be the best bet. AT&T's shipping dates seem to be set for the 20th and 21st, while Apple's are still the 14th. So, you would get it earlier with Apple.

The tracking system for Apple also seems to be better from what everyone is reporting on the forums.

However, if you need a specialized order like a mixture of phones (and not just iphones) on a family plan or such, then the carrier would be a better bet to make sure all of that is squared away.
