Hey Everyone,
While we all wait in anticipation of Friday's launch day (I just got my tracking numbers from Sprint...woot!), I thought it'd be interesting to see what trail of phones led us to the promised land of the iPhone 4s and iOS 5. I started out with Bell Atlantic Mobile, but ended up with Sprint and have been with them for the past 11 years. When I looked back at my phones over the years, I think I have made an upward move with each device. It's funny to think of what was "HOT" back in the day...ummm...which really is only about 20 years ago. Anyway, feel free to list them in your responses below. I think it'll be a neat little experiment.

Cheers!
Robert

1. Nokia #NHA-5NA (Bell Atlantic Mobile)
2. Kyocera QCP 3035 (Sprint)
3. Sanyo SCP 5300 (Sprint)

14. Palm Pre (Sprint)
15. Samsung Moment (Sprint)
16. HTC EVO (Sprint)
17. HTC EVO 3D (Sprint)
18. iPhone 4s (Sprint)

I would say my favorite phones here would be my Palm Pre then the MOTO RAZR and my HTC EVO and EVO 3D.

Looking at some of those other phones brings me to sheer laughter! :D

So...what's been in your pocket or purse over these last many years?

I can't remember back to my first few phones with Sprint but I'll start from T-Mobile and work my way down! I've had way too many phones to only be 20 but I'm addicted to Technology!

Sidekick 2
Sidekick 3
Sidekick LX
iPhone 3G
HTC G1
Blackberry Curve 8900
Sidekick LX 09
Blackberry Bold 9700
Blackberry Storm 2
iPhone 3GS
HTC HD Touch Pro 2
Motorola Cliq
HTC HD2
MyTouch 4G
HTC Sensation

In-between those phones, I used different carriers and phones for a few weeks including:
iPhone 4 (AT&T)
Epic 4G (Sprint)
Droid Charge (Verizon)
EVO 3D (Sprint)
Epic 4G Touch (Sprint)

I'll start with my history on Sprint (though I had an old brick-like Motorola on some defunct cell carrier prior to Sprint):

Kyocera 5150 (Sprint)
LG 43-something (S)
Sanyo SCP 8100 (S)
Sanyo Katana (S)
LG Musiq (S)
Moto RAZR 2 (S)
Samsung Instinct (S)
iPhone 3GS (AT&T)
iPhone 4S (A)

It's worth noting that the 3GS is the only phone I kept for 2+ years. All the others were gone in <18 months, some much less than that.

I started with Sprint PCS back in 1997, then T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon (in that order.)

Wow, there is no way I can remember my old phone types so I will do it like this:

A bunch of old 'dumb phones'
Blackberry 8330 Curve (VZW)
Motorola Droid (VZW)
iPhone 4S (VZW)

1) 1996 Motorola StarTAC
2) LG vx3200
3) LG vx8100
4) LG enV
5) LG Voyager
6) LG Dare
7) Blackberry Storm
8) Blackberry Tour
9) Blackberry Storm 2
10) Droid X
11) Droid 2
12) iPhone 4
13) iPhone 4s (in a few more days)

All on Verizon except the StarTAC that was prepaid. I'm just realizing how many LG's I had. Also there was some virgin mobile prepaid in-between the StarTAC and my first LG on Verizon
