A Sprint Sales Rep, told me they sold about 32,000 in 24 hours, but now that, Sprint selling iPhone's now you would think they'd sell more like AT&T which sold 200,000 in 12 hours?

No, you'd think it'd end up like that but in the end... ATT&T has the best reception and most people upgrading have had iPhones already and are contractually bound to AT&T so they did early upgrades or used their full upgrade but somewhere between the 20th-24th month of their contract.

IF that number is true, that's pretty disappointing - especially for the initial iPhone launch on the Sprint service/network.

Yeah, but Sprint has unlimited data and had people waiting for a while to get the iPhone on Sprint?

According to the Sales Team they are, Yeah I told them AT&T had 200,000 in half the time and they just said, "glad to hear AT&T is doing good!" I don't know what that's supposed to mean.

Since they sold out of the 16G model in the first 12 hours, these numbers make no sense at all.

Sounds like total BS

Than again wouldn't it makes sense for Apple to sell Sprint less, than Verizon and AT&T because it's a smaller company and they didn't want to overwhelm them. Maybe thats why Sprint sold out and AT&T didn't.

....They're sales reps. That's what they do.

Not really. I'm in sales with Hilton Hotels and I don't have access to annual sales figures or daily sales for that matter. You might as well rely on the Wikipedia for scientific evidence of stuff.

There is just no way they only sold 32,000 phones. That would mean they only had about 10,000 16G phones which is completely unbelievable.

That is pretty disappointing especially since sprint was betting the house on the iphone with that multi billion dollar deal for iphones.

The AT&T iPhone is supposed to be a bit faster. But no true 4G on any of the networks. Other than that, they're the same.

what's the point of this useless thread with useless information? No sales rep has the hard #'s that are overall unless they are at a management level in sales. Anyone with this information will not publicly discuss it, at least not yet.

This rep is clearly stupid and making numbers up.

at&t announced how many they sold so how do you know this rep wasn't briefed on this particular info? Most likely they weren't but you never know it is sprint.
