Will IOS5 be out before Iphone 5?

I'm thinking same time as well. iOS5 is up to Beta 7 now so hopefully we are very close to a GA release.

The last 2 years Apple has put out the software update 2 days or so before the new device's release.

Probably at the same time, iOS 5 is the base firmware for the iPhone 5.

As it has happened before, Apple will make a conference or keynote and announce the release of new iOS.
The same day, the GM version will be available for the developers and 1 week afterwards for everyone.
iPhone usually ships within this timeline with a max delay about a week after the official release of iOS.

1 week is not a long time so yes, both will be available at about the same time...
