Hi all, First time posting so be easy... Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew the price points of the IPhone 5? Also, what would the pricing be of the IPhone 4 when the new one comes out? I'm contemplating on buying the IPhone 4 when the new one comes out but only if its alot cheaper than IPhone 5 (I'm talking about at least $100 difference). Any thoughts???

My guess is that the iPhone 5 will be the same as what the 4 is now. However, as was said above no one really knows what the price will be until the iPhone 5 is announced.

There would be some difference in price between iphone 4 and Iphone 5 but it want be too much. Apple would try to keep it within the reach of all its fans. It can be derived If anyone has observed the prices of iphone on their launch.

I would assume it'd be the same as it always has been in the past - $299 / $199 w/ 2 year contract. But no one knows for sure.

I'd almost put money on the fact that the price will stay the same as it was for the iPhone 4, or perhaps even come down a little (a little more doubtful on that though). They'd be foolish to raise the price with the droid phones putting up a good fight these days...even with substantially better features, the price point keeps them well into the profit, and they sell out every piece of hardware they release...EVERY time.

It may change when LTE comes to the IPhone. They priced the Droid Charge @ $299 on contract so it's anyone's guess.

ATT is selling iPhone 4, online, refurbished, blemished @
$79.00/2nd contract. Have seen 5 purchased and no noticeable
Flaws. All work and look like new. This is a great buy.
ATT usually runs this discount fora short time and then
stops until supply goes up again. Shorter warranty but
worth the money at $79.00

So its either I cough up $199 for IPhone 4 now or $199 for IPhone 5 later (unless pricing is $299 then I basically waited for nothing to pay $199 for an IPhone 4). What to do, what to do????

The iPhone 5 is not going to be LTE capable, so it should be less than what the Droid Charge is selling for now.

I agree, no LTE in the iPhone5.

The past releases of the iPhone has always been $199/$299 based on the storage size... can't see Apple raising it at this point... and the talk is of a second, lower cost phone... so I expect the price of the iPhone5 to hold at $199/$299 based on size and a cheaper entry level model.

The iPhone 5 prices will most likely be the same as the current new iPhone 4 prices. $199/$299 subsidized (don't recall what the partially or unsubsidized prices will be). iPhone 4 will probably be released as only one model (maybe 8GB, or maybe 16GB, who knows) for $99 subsidized. There may be various sales at some point like they have had for the older iPhones, but they have kept this pricing scheme for quite some time.
