Shortcuts = Auto text
For the past 4 years I have been an adamant blackberry user. I've always defended blackberry because I felt that it was the ultimate communicating device. After I got use to typing with my iPhone and autocorrect has been on my side, there was one feature of blackberry that I missed. Auto text.*
Auto text is pretty much similar to auto text but the user can create abbreviations to cut the texting time.
When I installed iOS 5, I noticed it had a setting option call "shortcuts". When I realized that it was Apple's version of auto text. To get to shortcuts, you simply:
Options > General > Keyboard > Shortcuts.
When you get there you can begin to create your shortcuts.*
Here are some shortcuts that I've used from my past blackberry experience.
Wrud = What are you doing?
Wru = where are you
Ru = are you*
Mon = Monday
Alot = a lot*
Fb = Facebook
