Updated iphone4 to ios 7 & itunes no longer recognizes

Here we go again me and my crazy phone.....
I had to delete all music off my phone just to update the crazy thing and now that i have updated it itunes will no longer recognize my iphone....
My computer sees it just fine.....
same thing has happened to my wife's iphone 4 as well.....

Any and all suggestions are appreciated....
We updated sometime last month not too long after we got the notifications that there was an update.....

Also to tag onto this my itunes also at times tried to recognize my iphone but comes up with an error.... also itunes will not show my library and i will have to uninstall and reinstll it before my songs show back up.... really thinking this is some issue with iphone/itunes and not computer firewall or anything like that
