microsoft exchange connection

I am trying to activate microsoft exchange through activesync on my iphone. i put in all the necessary information including the supplied server. but its saying "unable to verify account information." please advise

If you're trying to access your work email, get with your IT section and make sure that it's okay and to allow your device access to your work mail. If you're configuring hotmail or gmail via the Exchange setup, it *should* work without a hitch.
