iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S?

4s for sure. It'll be worth it. The 4 will be obsolete sooner and you get Siri and a faster processor and a better camera. Just do it. You're going to potentially pay $2400 over the next 2 years for your contract. What's another $100 at start up in comparison?

I'm not in an upgrade period, nor do I currently have an iPhone, but I think I am going to get a used iPhone 4.

My friend has a mint condition Verizon iPhone 4 32gb with the original box/accessories for $300.

The best I can find on a 4S is $550 for a 16gb. My upgrade is due 12/2012, so if there is a new iPhone by then I can get that no issue.

So is a mint 32gb used iPhone 4 for $300 worth not blowing another $250 for less capacity, but a newer phone?

I would go with more capacity and save yourself some money. The Verizon iPhone 4 runs about the same as the 4S. It's just missing the better camera and Siri.

I would get the 32gb 4. $300 is a pretty good price. I still see them around where I live for $350 or so. I don't think it's worth $250 more for a better camera, processer, and Siri.

I would go 4S because of resale, longevity, and staying more up to date. The $99 is a small cost compared to the data plan cost.

Are you guys crazy? A 4S is not worth an extra $250! I say thats a good price you've got their, you'll be a fool not to take it.

If you get the 4s it will have better resale value next year so you will get some of the $250 difference back.

Perhaps so, but $250 in my pocket now can towards a lot of things more important to me now, mainly going to see my girlfriend for Christmas.

The iPhone 4 is a great phone and coming from a BlackBerry 9930, its going to be a welcome step up.

ok so maybe I am missing something- the 8 gig 4 is $99 the 16 gig 4 is $149 and the 16 gig 4S is $199- how is that a $250 difference-
My only other two cents is that the 8 gig is very limiting- If the money is an issue and you need to save $$ then go with the 16 gig 4- you may not think you need it now but you will most likely regret it later and you cant go back...

Thing have gotten a bit muddy in the past two pages or so of this thread.

I jumped in talking about buying a mint used iPhone 4 32gb for $300 or buying a new iPhone 4S 16gb for $550. That is the $250 difference.

Ok thanks. Figured I missed something. I was looking at the original question.
