iPhone 4 no vibrate

I recently got an iPhone 4 from a friend and the vibration works for everything except SMS. It vibrates when I get a call, from facebook and when I get mail. Does anyone know how to fix this? It was working fine yesterday but today it's not vibrating.

Double check the settings turn them off them back on if no go the. Hold home button and power till you see the apple logo

Darn it worked for a minute and then now it stopped vibrating. Any more suggestions would be appreciated.

Is it jail broke ? I would try a restore in iTunes and restore from back up if issue still there then restore again but don't use ur backup and see what it does if that don't work i would take it into apple

i had this same problem when i installed speed intensifier could be the same problem?

nope the only thing I've done was jailbroken my phone and got someapps.
