Hello everyone,
I would like to lock my iPhone to 3G only mode. I know this can be done on AT&T iPhones via editing the csidata file, however this file is different on Verizon iPhones and I'm not sure if this is even possible on it. Here is the csidata file contents for Verizon phones:
CallListModel DtmfType=0?0
SettingsModel::UnconditionalCallForwardingActiveVa lue=0?0
TraceModuleExtreme DIAG::fEnabled=0?0
TraceModuleExtreme DIAG::fEnabledDuringSleep=0?0
TraceModuleExtreme DIAG::fStopWaitTime=0?8
TraceModuleExtreme DIAG::fMergeSnapshot=0?0
TraceModuleExtreme DIAG::fHistoryCapacity=0?80
TraceModuleExtreme DIAG::fStallProbeInterval=0xea60
TraceModuleExtreme DIAG::fStallProbeBehavior=0?0
TraceModuleExtreme DIAG::fMode=0?0
TraceModuleExtreme DIAG::fFile=default
TraceModuleExtreme DIAG::fShouldGeneratePlaintext=0?0
TraceModuleExtreme DIAG::fShouldRetainRawFiles=0?1
TraceModuleExtreme DIAG::fShouldTranslateLogs=0?1
TraceModuleExtreme DIAG::fMessageConfigView=0?3
TraceModuleExtreme DIAG::fLoggingConfigView=0?3
TraceModuleExtreme DIAG::fEventConfigView=0?3
TraceModuleExtreme::EURCoreDump::fEnabled=0?0
TraceModuleExtreme::CSILog::fEnabled=0?0
TraceModuleExtreme::CSILog::fHistory=0xffffffff
TraceModuleExtreme::fExternalUSBTracing=0?0
RegistrationModel::fRatSelection=0?5
SettingsModel::CallWaitingEnabled=0?1
SettingsModel::CallingLineIdRestriction=0?0
GsmRadioModule::fPreviousBootUptime=0xeb5
I'd really appreciate any help on if this can be done. I'm in a fairly weak signal area and the phone tends to switch to 1X even though I have good 3G speeds. I will only lock it to 3G when I need to tether.
