Maybe a lot of people don't need it? I don't know though. I can't think of why I would... anytime someone calls me and there's the most remote chance EVER that I might need the number again I make them a contact haha.

I have about 65 entries in my Recents list, going back about 14 days or so... about what I had before installing the iOS5 beta... don't see any difference, personally.

Yes, until it runs out of memory and starts deleting everything it can get a hold of - calendar entries, call logs, messages, email...

Been there.
Done that.

The only people I know who "depend" on a call history list are those in sales or marketing, i.e., people with lot of customers/clients.

If that's the case with you, you might want to invest in a decent CRM app. That would reduce your dependence on a recent call list.

And just as an aside, they call it a "recent" call list for a reason - recent calls, not infinite.
