IP4 free space dilemma after os upgrade

Hiya, i have been running iOS 4.2.x for a while until I bit the bullet and upgraded to 4.3.3 and jbd and restored my backup and all my Curia apps.

One thing I have noticed which is very weird is my free space before 4.3.3 my jb'd phone had 1.5gb available now I have 5.5gb free.

I don't understand where the extra files were and I am assuming they were not needed.

Anyone have any input on this?

were you using any programs that store large amounts of data.. i use a podcast app that reports storage of 1-2gb of data, but a fresh install would be ~10mb..

I mostly use email safari and im. Besides that Tomtom and some games.

I don't have any podcast or streaming software.

Is there a place where I can see cache or tmp files or they are in individual app folders?

I mean few hundred megs I understand but it's few gig difference.
