I guess I will do it on my iPad 2 since it's boring vanilla anyway Well that is if iTunes will let me anyway, it should be a good test. I haven't been able to do the last two updates my iTunes got screwed up somehow and now it says my device is not eligible everytime I try to update.

not sure if this is good usage or not. i am typically jailbroken and i know that other factors can contribute to usage more than normal

sometimes i get bored with the jailbreak.. yes, i said it. so for some excitement, battery performance curiosities and just to see how the other side lives i will update like the rest. however, i will restore as new or "set up as new phone" to not worry about imperfections being brought over

thanks to TinyUmbrella it allows me to move back, as you already know, if needed

also, sometimes it's nice not having to micro-manage my device and let Apple work its magic. i'm sure this would put a smile on SJ's face

Ha here comes another one to the light side I have been un-jailbroken for a bit and really there are only a few things I miss.

so i picked up my phone after lunch today and noticed it was in Edge. turned 3G on and off a few times and still in E. rebooted the device a couple of times as well, same results

finally after about 2 hours it went back into 3G mode. not sure if it was the device or network but i will be keeping an eye on it

well, after putting it to the test all day i am convinced the battery performance is not as good as 4.3.2, anyone else have any input on this?

...in fact i just went back to 4.3.2

I agree, battery life has shortened. How do you revert back to an old OS?

since Apple is still signing for 4.3.2, for now, all you have to do is download iOS 4.3.2 firmware.. iClarified - iPhone Firmware Files

then Hold down the Shift (Windows)/Alt (Mac) key and hit the restore button (in itunes) select the downloaded firmware and let the restore process begin (i think the host file needs to be edited, anyone? mine is, but it always is. might want to google about this first)

*i searched google regarding downgrading firmware when Apple is still signing the previous firmware and did not have any luck but i think they will stop soon*

Edit: it appears as long as Apple is still signing 4.3.2 you will not have to edit your host file but your time is limited

4.3.1 and beyond will require shsh blobs that have been saved via TinyUmbrella (these are device specific)

also, i would suggest downloading Tinyumbrella and saving your 4.3.2 blobs asap, just to be safe. the following guide is for when and after shsh blobs are saved Downgrade iOS 4.3.3 to iOS 4.3.2, 4.3.1, 4.3, 4.2.1 [iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, iPod Touch] | iPhoneHeat

please search as much as possible before doing it

I am not really seeing a difference between this and 4.3.2. Everything seems pretty much the same. No bugs that I've seen so far.
