I just got my iphone today. I thought I saw a "tip of the day" on how to change the battery icon to the %. But I can't find how to do it. I have searched the forum and can't find it either.

Can some one help me would on how to change the battery meter to a percentage? Or do I have to jailbreak?

    Thanks

Well let's hope you got either a 3GS or 4. Otherwise, you don't have the option.

If you jailbreak, you can actually hide the battery icon and just have the percentage.
