Does performing a full cycle charge ever month make the battery life last longer and battery lifespan last longer? I asked because some people say it does and some people say it doesn't
As far as I can see, it makes no difference, apple use Lithium-ion batteries which don't have a memory effect like old school nickel batteries did. One thing I use is my Mophie Case - has a battery in it, I'm a heavy user so helps me out all the time, makes the iphone go for twice as long.
It could just be the placebo effect, but Apple does recommend it on their website, doesn't it? Anyway, I do it if I remember to. Sometimes I run the battery down more often than I probably should since I use it so much. I don't think it really matters, and I have yet to see a degradation in battery life and performance from running it down to zero (knock on wood!).
