White iPhone Speculation

If the white iPhone coming in a few weeks is meant to "hold us over" until the iPhone 5, wouldn't it make since for it to be CDMA + GSM? This seems possible due to the fact that the vz iPhone has the qualacomm chip that could make a true global iPhone. I just find it irrational to come out with the same device this late in the cycle.

^^ I don't see why not? You can still lock down the GSM side on the dual tech phones. CDMA is tied to carrier unless you can reflash them and even then, most carriers won't activate a ESN from another carrier.

Never say never The ViP4 has the World Qualcomm chip, meant for both CDMA and GSM. Just doesn't have a SIM slot ...

The current Verizon iPhone is capable already. Just no sim card slot. It's cost effective for apple.

Verizon's CFO said the next iphone will be global. If the white iphone comes to Verizon it is probably what he was referring to.

He was referring to next generation iPhone. If there is a white i4, they are not going to change it to global. Not gonna happen. It would be the 5
