Why are you able to turn the phone off that has a password? Kinda makes it easy for someone to jack your phone and turn it off to bypass any of these security apps. You should have to put the correct password in to power down. Especially with the iphone because it's not like you can just pop the battery out.

Interesting idea; I'm assuming you mean GPS phone locator security apps like Find My iPhone. The phone won't be much use to anybody unless it's turned on again at some point; but I guess that could be in a foreign country...

When you have passcode activated and power off, when you power on it requires a passcode. So your iPhone is secure..

Not sure what security apps your referring to though? Find Iphone? I guess at some point you would expect them to power it on to sell it or ? I get what your saying though, it would add to security if a passcode had to be used to power down, but I wonder how many users actually use a passcode at all? I do not, it's somewhat annoying as much as I use my phone to enter a passcode..
