So, my computer suffered a HD crash, and I had to reinstall windows. I had most of my iTunes library backed up about a week ago, but ive installed new apps on my phone in between the backup and the crash. Now I have to resync my phone with the library.

Any way to save the apps (especially the ones I paid for) that were bought after the backup was made?

Restore the previous library... then, sync your phone. It should ask you about finding things on your phone that are not in the library, and ask if you want to sync those - say yes. iTunes will then copy whatever is not in your restored library from your phone, and all will be fine.

I have synced my phone, and it it didnt say anything about finding new things. It defaults to manually manage everything, and if i click sync apps it tells me that any app not in the library will be deleted.

Is there a way to manually make it look for things not in the library?

In iTunes, go to File, Transfer purchases from iPhone.
