Looking ahead would you like to see a few buttons along the bottom of your phone. Maybe a home, menu and a back button? I like the one button thing but a little more work when you have to hit home then open the app again.

For ex. Clicked on forum today and asked about tapatalk i hit ok then it opened browser. No way to just hit back to browser.

    No more buttons.

The appeal of the iPhone is the lack of buttons.

Is that your opinion or is that everyone appeal?

I am getting the hang of only having one button now so it is fine with me. If anything, a back button would be nice at times.

Well there is one actual button, but the whole concept is the Touchscreen that simulates any button that it wants to. The home button basically is like a back button anyway.

I never liked back buttons. I could never tell if I exited an application or not. Stupid Windows Mobile...

If it's just his opinion, then that's cool. That's what the OP asked for.

I like just having one button but i would like it if it had two positions, kind of like a digital camera button that focuses the camera when pushed lightly and takes the picture when fully pushed

I like the fact it has the one button only. as Since getting the iPhone I no longer place calls or surf the web while in my pocket.

The appeal of the iPhone is the smooth operating system. I don't care if it has one button or four buttons.

Well, he can't speak for everyone, obviously.

Try looking at the rest of Apple's product line and then tell us if you think that Apple is likely to add more buttons. If anything, they've been going in the opposite direction.

Hmm, my iPhone has 4 buttons. If anything, make one of them a programmable depending on the app. Will it happen? Nope.

Well given how iOs is designed, theres no real need for it.

I could see the home button being touch sensitive.

I have and love the iPhone 4 but I think it's kind of silly not to have a dedicated physical "Phone" button that lets you instantly make... ...uh... ...phone calls. It's a phone.

I guarantee you that you won't find a phone that takes LESS effort to make a phone call. You can use voice, a favorites menu, and even home-screen icons to make calls in addition to grabbing numbers from e-mails, texts, and web pages. So you have to wake the phone up to do it? Show me a phone where you don't.

The lack of a call or end button hasn't bothered me one bit to be honest. It would, however, bug the crap out of my wife.

Come to think of it, that will just keep my wife off of it soooo just the one button please.
