Is there an app that puts a microphone option on the keypad? I'm coming from android where I was able to dictate my message right in the message program.
    Thanks

there is an app called dragon dictation that you speak into the phone and then get the option to either e mai, text post on facebook or copy to notepad. I use it to text message and it is pretty accurate

I have that and it works pretty well. I'm looking for an app that works with in the messaging window so I can just speak my reply and send it.

Vlingo is another app that works by using your voice. It's free but to get unlimited SMS and email sending by voice, it costs 9.99

I don't think there's anything like what Android has right now. The feature you're talking about is integrated into Android, it's part of the OS.

Vlingo is probably the closest you can get, but you won't find some app that will work within the messaging app.

Hopefully Apple with have speech to text built-in in iOS 5.
