Purchased App question

so I purchased am app on my iphone last night and accidently deleted it when I was trying to delete another app. My question is do I need to repurchase it again. I never synced my iphone to my itunes account after I downloaded the app to my iphone initially. The app was only $.99 so if I need to purchase it again, no big deal. Would just stink because I know with android's marketplace, if you delete an app from your phone after you purchase it, you can re-download it again for free since the marketplace already knows that you purchased it in the past.

I really hope the apple marketplace is the same, if not that is real bad on apple's part.

You can download it again for free. It will not tell you it's free until after you click the download button.
