    Morning all -

I want to know what's the point of 'turning off data roaming' IF it really doesn't work.

I spoke with AT&T this morning. And if you're travelling internationally, and don't want to incur international data charges, the only way to prevent that is to either:
    1. turn off your iPhone
    2. turn on airplane mode

So, begs the question, what's the point of the option on the iPhone (Settings \ General \ Network \ Data Roaming)?

    Hmm, anyone?

I doubt the person at AT&T even knew what they were talking about. But it's a great question if that's the case...

could data roaming be for the data plan and not the voice plan? The more I typed the more stupid it sounds but perhaps if you try to use your data while abroad it's charged at a different rate?
