Newbie q here:
Safari has crashed on my phone. Attempting to go to the default loaded apple bookmark, the site is visible, but grayed out, and none of the software control buttons (cancel, and the bottom row) work. I can exit the app but on return, same thing.
My question: must I reboot to reset the app or is there some way I can restart safari?
Well, I asked the question because I've got an app for my android tablet that will kill running programs, though there wasn't anything like that for my old BB. I was hoping maybe there was something I wasn't finding in the app store.
To my knowledge, there are no task killing apps as it's built into the phone. Double click the home button, touch and hold the Safari icon, then hit the little red button to close it.
To kill an app on the iPhone double press the home button. A slide list of apps should appear, press and hold and a little x should appear, touch the x and the app closes.
This is also how you can switch between apps, ie multitasking.
