iphone 4 charger and ipod

can you use an existing ipod charger to charge your iphone 4 ... the connector appears to be the same... and could you use the ipod speaker doc for a charge also?

yep, my 5G Nano charger charges my friends iPhone4, both home and car charger but not all speaker docks will charge your iPhone. My speaker dock plays music from my 5G Nano but will not charge it. Everytime we go skiing or go to Vegas with friends there is always some kind of iHome/speaker dock in the rooms and not all of them charge his iPhone or my Nano, it usually says charging is not supported on my Nano

I had an after market iPod touch charger that I bought about 3 years ago, its a 6 foot cable which is nice. I plugged it into the adapter that came with the iPhone and into the wall and charged up the iPhone last night with no issues.

Yeah I have an old iHome2go and I loved using it with my iPod but sadly it won't charge my iPhone

I think some of the cords carry different electrical loads.
