Tranferring music from iPod to new Vz iPhone

So I have around 2000 songs on my iPod Touch (which I'm selling) and none of the songs are in my iTunes Library. I want to transfer my songs to iTunes, then iTunes to my new iPhone. Can someone help me out and let me know how to do this? Can I do it without purchasing 3rd Party software? Thanks!
