Hello all!
I will be buying the VZ IP4 on launch day and I have a question.

On my Droid X it has the feature for the Personal Hotspot, but you have to pay $20 a month for it.. But if you root (jailbreak) it there is a mod so you can get this for free without downloading another app like mywi or another 3g hotspot app.

I am hoping someone will be able to do this for the Verizon iPhone.. I would gladly help. What are your thoughts?

Yes I saw that but thought that I wasn't in the right forum cause this is the verizon iphone lol..

The only difference is the radios in the phones... the OS, apps (other than carrier proprietary), jailbreak are common.

I really hope this is possible. Especially with the unlimited Data, that and the WIFI Hotspot together for free would be niceeee. Would be super useful too.

With my droid x the hack is whenever i say go to the hotspot it runs and you connect your device and then it turns of 3g all together and turns it back on while the hotspot is running. It works amazingly well. Hopefully someone will be able to do this.
