One of my friends recently got his iPhone 4 stolen. He had it passcode locked, but that didn't stop the thieves from just turning off the phone so Find My iPhone didn't work. I feel that Apple should put a passcode lock when powering down the phone if the passcode has been set to ON.

I have my iPhone passcode locked and would love this feature, just in case thieves try to take my phone. What do you guys think?

I agree with the password protection on power down...it of course wouldn't stop them from taking it apart and popping the battery but it would deff deter most of the lazy criminals who wouldn't want to put forth the efforts to go through an iPhone battery removal (if their tiny brains could accomplish it in the first place).

Honestly, the fact that an iPhone can be powered down with password protection on is absurd...
