I pre-ordered my i4 on 6/16... Yet my upgrade date is 2/16/2012

I just bought an iPhone 3GS this month. I had an old 3G that was given to me, and activated it 9/12/2010. *639# is still using 9/12/2012 as my upgrade date even though the 3GS activation date is 1/11/2011. Let's see what happens in two years when the iPhone 4 is a $49 phone.

This is what I dont get about ATT

I bought a 3GS for me and my wife on Feb 26 2010. I am not eligible until 7/26/2011 and she is not until 10/26/2011. How did you buy a phone 4 months after me, but are able to upgrade a month before me?

I'm not eligible until 11/25/11 which is fine by me, since I'll be able to sell my i4 for at least $400 or more on ebay and just pay full retail... which when you really think about it... based on i4 pricing ... $649 minus $400 = $249 for a 32GB... vs $299 2 yr contract price.. still win win.. then I can upgrade the following year as normal

I bought the iPhone 3G in Nov 2008. Then upgraded early this past Sept to the iPhone4. I called the number and they told me my new upgrade date is 02/03/2012. I don't get it.

Looks like 11/29/11 for me, my purchase date at Best Buy was 6/29/10. So must be when I have paid off the subsidy. But unless the iPhone 5 has brain implants I should be fine to wait for iPhone 6 that does actually have brain implants.

Family plans man...saves you a TON on iPhone charges. Me and the wife with unlimited text, some insane amount of minutes and tethering are paying like $160 for 2 iPhones...

Wow, everyone's plan is so expensive it seems and gets to upgrade early. Do you guys really use that many minutes during the day? My bro and I share 450 minutes a month and the highest we ever used was 230 of that, 90% of our calling is either to AT&T users (free) or night and weekends. We have a bank of around 4000+ rollover minutes as well.

Im on a family plan and my line is the main line. If your bill is big like mine and pay on time every month, At&t usually gives upgrades every 12 months to the main line

Not necessarily... Most people wipe the iPhone and restore to their own itunes

What do you not get? The upgraded in Sept, you renewed your contract.
