I use a 2 amp car charger on my i4. A 1.5 will work fine.

Nobody knows! Not even the apple website. I'm quite sure it uses a bit more power to charge because when I charge using older docks, it takes a lot longer.

The charger is the exact same as my 3G and 3GS. You can use different voltages but may just not charge as fast

1.5 amp 5 watt, all iPhones have been this way
Most car chargers seem to be 2 amp 7.5 watt though. Will slowly charge an iPad which uses a 2 amp 10 watt.
Regardless of the charger used the iPhone will only draw 1.5 amp 5 watts so it is safe to use just about any car charger and iPad charger also

I've noticed a difference in charging aswell. More so on my wifes off brand iPhone clock radio thing, but with Accessories also.
