I know the Verizon iPhone isntnout yet. But what are some of you getting for speed tests on android devices on Verizon. I'm in Denver, CO and the service is mediocre to terrible. This is the speed tests I got today. I did these test right across the street from AT&T building of some sort.

    Too funny.

The funny thing is that all too often I have Bern standing next to my in-Law's who have Verizon and they have a perfect signal and I have none.... Doesn't feel very good when my phone and service cost 4x what his is.....

I've owned the iPhone 3GS and the Droid.

I never had the speed test app on my iPhone because the service was shockingly bad.

I did download it onto my droid and I get between 0.03-0.93Mbps for downloads and 0.12-0.85Mbps for uploads.

When the connection worked, I felt like the AT&T 3G was faster than Verizon's CDMA. BUT... the connection worked. I would rather have a reliable connection rather than a blazing fast con- could not activate cellular data network

I saw the test CNET did online and how the Verizon version dowloaded there website faster in NY. It will be interesting once we get these Verizon iPhones to see what kind of numbers we are getting for upload and download around the country.

I just ran the test on my Droid X in Ohio and got these numbers:

    Ping: 170ms
    Download: 1161kps
    Upload: 782kps

What seems to obvious is that VZW is slower than AT&T. But I'd rather have a constant speed than dropped calls. There is no way that speed test is accurate!!!!!
I think I'll end up waiting for a couple months to see whats going on with the iPhone 5. Funny not much AT&T defenders?!!

I usually get 2-3 mbps down and 1.2 up on AT&T where I'm at. Location matters though. If i had your experience in Denver, i'd consider Verizon as well. Luckily, you have the choice now.

Where I live there is no comparison, AT&T destroys Verizon and Sprint. It's all about location location location. I forgot to add those speed tests are with me holding my iPhone with the nonexistent existent "death touch" lol.
