I watched the video of the iphone4 from the Verizon site and it said that you can make calls over wifi. Does that mean you would not be using minutes from the plan?

You can use Skype, etc on the cell phone network and presumably if connected to the internet via a Wifi connection on the iPhone.

Yes Skype would be the most well know VOIP. That is what they mean be that. it would not go against your monthly minutes. as long as you are using wifi it would not go against your data usage as well.

Yes. Using any of the four or five VoIP programs, you do not use Verizon minutes. However, depending upon the origin, destination or service, there may be charges.
