I pay 2.99/month for verizon's visual voice mail. I would imagine they would still charge for it on the iphone.

I was wondering the same thing. Hopefully Apple demands this be a free service and we won't need to pay extra for this service. Plus would Verizon really want to give AT&T something to bash them on?

I doubt it- if you want it, you gotta pay for it.
And that is the darkside of Verizon. If you want it, you will pay for it.

I can't see how they can continue to charge for it. But then again they have unlimited data still ( I'm still under it with at&t). I just wish at&t would offer 500 text package. Beejive gets all my messaging.

You probably wont have to have it for the iPhone, but they probably wont tell you that. If it continues to cost eh, its only 3 bucks and its so convenient.

Google voice is not the same as your ACTUAL PHONE with the ACTUAL voice mail app.

$3.00 is that much for you? You pay for the same, if not more on a coffee at starbucks!

how I spend my money is my business. It's free now so I believe it should remain that way. I'd rather spend that money on charitable donations but that's me.

Plus if $3 isn't that much for you, fell free to mail me a check every month!

Verizon refused to give details about iPhone-specific Plans. It's possible VVM could be bundled within those plans.

I'm curious to see what the unlimited date plan is going to be for it ... there were some early rumors of $70 a month, and it wouldn't surprise me to keep the data hogs away... never know... could just be a rumor

I presently have unlimited data on my BB Tour, and that's $30/month... same price as the data plans for Droids, which is unlimited.

i was wondering what they were going to do for voicemail because it says that you CANNOT transfer your old VM to the iPhone... any other verizon phone automagically keeps it, just calls up the same server I guess... anybody?

It's not free for AT&T. Those guys are paying for it, it's just rolled into their other costs. Verizon will still charge...

    $70 = 450 minutes ($39.99) + unlimited data ($29.99) ?

here's to hoping they don't change it!
