I think this is a wrong move on Apple's part. Why make it so difficult for the case companies and consumers. I can already see the Verizon customers returning cases that don't exactly fit their phone.
Most cases have enough slop in them it shouldn't matter. From all the comparison pictures I've seen, the tolerances on a case should allow for compatibility and use of most cases.
Maybe for a terrible case. I have many cases and none of them would allow for a mis allignment like that
I don't think it will really matter. It's not like there are not going to be a number of suppliers make making cases for the verizon version.
