So I got a replacement i4 yesterday and I want to start fresh with no backup. The question is how do I maintain my progress in my games? It took a lot of work to get three stars in every single level of Angry Birds and cut the rope and do not want to lose that.
App data is stored in the back up so if you restore as new all your progress is gone. Your achievements should still be there in gamecenter though.
Screw that. I'll deal with the faulty backup.
Is there a way to do it via jailbreak?
I don't believe there is, nothing I've heard of, but I could be wrong too lol but i doubt it
Nope...i went through this with the 3GS i just bought, sat down and searched the interwebs for hours, and came to the conclusion that to have a fresh start, the games have to be reset.
Correct.If restoring as new, there is no way to save your game progress.
