Wasn't this to be a feature in iOS 4? I can't seem to find it.

Type in the search box. On an iPad (and phone too I think) go to the bottom of suggestions, and there'll b a find on page option

Go to the Google search in Safari, type a word in, and you will see "Find in this page (xx matches)", I think it says. The feature is not on the iPod Touch 2G.

It's in 4.2. I'm on 4.0.1 still and just use the Find in Page app. (It installs as a bookmark.) Works great.

Fantastic guys! Why doesn't Apple tell you this? I was looking for it where print function is.

Does that give you the onscreen navigation like the app store version?

yes... i think the app store version is the same thing just a guess a bit easier to install...

Also with this code you can change the highlight colour and other properties as well.

Ok, I was wondering because I used to use a javascript version I found online, but it lacked the onscreen icons and was a bit buggy to boot. Anyway, if it's the same you might want to think about removing it from your post due to the Piracy Policy here.

    well

a - its not piracy its a javascript and its not licensed.
b - even if i wanted to remove it i cant as its not wrapped so the edit button is no where in sight for me.

also... i am not sure how and what app does the search in safari but the javascript only highlights all the words for you it doesn't have an option to go from one word to next kind of like how it is on computers.

Oh, ok. The app store app (paid, which is why i was worried for you) lets you go back and forth among the highlighted words using onscreen arrows. Looks like a different JavaScript, though. Check it out; it's called Find in Page.
