When jailbroken I used around 4 GB, now I only use about 600 MB

Jailbroken you can download an app and make it happen at no cost...through AT&T, that's a big negative (not to mention you lose the unlimited data plan as well).

Last month my jailbrken 3GS used over 11,000,000KB downloading podcasts to my tethered Macbook Pro at no extra cost thanks to an unlimited data plan. I also use a VZ mi-fi with unlimited data but it is 4x slower than the 3GS.

I got the 6gig plan recently since upgrading to iPhone 4 thinking I would tether or share with other devices, but it has been wasted capacity so far.

Probably go to the $10 plan.

Note I have wifi at home and at work. I have smart playlists in iTunes loading tv, movies, and podcasts only as required. No Netflix.

I use anywhere from 1.2 to 1.6 GB's a month. Never over 1.6 and I only use wifi for downloading large size app and Facetime. Yes I still keep unlimted data even though I never have exceeded the 2GB mark just to be safe in the long run or I decide to use Netflix a lot.
