Email App - swipe to delete

I have two email accounts set up in my email app on the iPhone, both of them are through gmail. I've noticed that when I swipe to delete emails from one account it always gives me the red "delete" .. but when I swipe emails I want to delete from the second account, it always gives me the red "archive" instead of delete. Anybody know why? I'd like to be able to delete emails in both accounts and not archive emails.

On a side note ... does anyone know how to sync the mail app on the macbook with the actual email? I find myself deleting the same email on my phone that I do when I open my macbook and my mail app shows it and I have to delete it all over again. Or vice versa. Is there any way to match them? The way the mail app on my iPhone matches my inbox on the gmail site?

You have to change your Gmail settings from within Gmail. Instead of archiving, you set it to delete. It's a server controlled function.

I think so, that way your Google calendar and contacts sync with your iPhone. Plus you get true push but you might also with the regular setup too, I'm not sure.
