I have all of my push content turned on, and the settings are enabled so that I receive notifications on my home screen for Facebook and app store updates. Why am I not getting these notifications all the time. It's very sporadic. Anyone?

the phone has a limited amount of time its searching for it and most servers that do the pushing, especially Facebook, only do a push once every half hour or so, and if it does send anything they keep a connection open to your phone so ull get get no messages then like 6 or seven back to back.

Yeah, fb is notorious for their awful implementation of notifications. I don't get any unless I manually refresh inside the app.

The app store, though, is supposed to work that wayyou need to go into it to get the updated number of available updates.

Sportacular has been bad lately too. They push that a game is at halftime when really a last second field goal attempt is underway on Live TV... pretty odd
