Just got a IP4 last week, and currently am a little concerned that I got a lemon.

    Why? B/c my battery charges at a rate of 1 min / 1 %.

So from a dead battery, it only takes a little over an hour to fully recharge...never seen a smartphone battery charge this fast ever.

Usually took 2-4 hours for my previous phones to charge fully.

Is everyone else's iphone 4 charging this fast?

Check your charger. I found that if I used my iPad's in car charger (2.1 amps) that my phone charged at least that fast. However.....about three days ago I took my phone off my home dock charger and after having been on it overnight, had only 13%. Tried every charger I could find through out the day to no avial. Called Apple when I got home with a completely dead phone and was advised to send it in. Just got email notification today that replacement product is being sent. Wonder if I could have "burnt up" the battery using the higher output charger. What do you all think?

Does it get hot at all while charging? Mine charges to around 80-90% in an hour and then takes longer to fully charge.

nah...battery stays pretty cool while charging...just suspicious though, as it's like a "rapid charger" ...

That's normal. and it should get hot as well. The last 10% takes a while.

Does your batter last the usual amount of time? Mine takes longer to charge on a non apple charger then it does on an apple charger.

Is your phone discharging fast as well? Any other issues? If not, I wouldn't be concerned with it.
