Simple question

Ok say I was connected to my wifi with my phone. Then I downloaded an app with that wifi connection. Would it use data? Or would it not use data since it's connected to wifi, just like Internet doesn't use data when it's connected to wifi. Thanks for the help.

No data is used...which is why the larger app's require you be in wifi...
