Can delete app icon

Hello,

I am brand new to the iPhone4 and to this forum. I downloaded, or at least attempted to do so, an app. The icon is gray and says "waiting." Let it sit overnight and it is the same. Clicking on it --> nothing. Holding it or any others down --> it shimmers like all the rest, but with no X spot available to click on to remove it. Opening the iPhone4 in iTunes on my Windows & computer --> no ability to delete it either. So, help appreciated. Thanks much. Chuck Cohen

Ah crap, I hate it when that happens. Have you rebooted. This is rather troublesome to remove at times to be serious.

Reboot. Hold the power button at the top until you see the Power Off slider. Slide it and it will eventually shut off. Wait a few seconds and press the power button again to turn it back on.
