I realize this is the iPhone forum but, I have a 3rd gen iPod touch...When the new os 4.0 update came out I obviously let it update, my computer restarted as part of the installation i guess and when iTunes comes back up it says my ipod is in recovery mode and needs to be restored to be used on iTunes...I lost ALL my music and everything on the device. I finally decided to update to 4.02 today ( i didnt do it earlier because I was scared that it was going to happen again) and I am getting the same message... I am so fed up! I had tons of songs on there what the heck is going on? What am I doing wrong? All I am clicking is update. Now on the ipod it just shows the usb cable with an arrow pointing to iTunes. Did I lose all my stuff again?
