Search iPhone problem.

Hallo everyone, I have an iPhone 3GS and it's jailbroken and unlocked via jailbreakme.com, and it's running 4.0.1. Now am having issues with the search iPhone feature, which enables me to search for anything on my iPhone, be it contacts, apps, or music, by pressing the home button, till a search iPhone screen comes on. Now am able, to perform a search, but when my songs,contacts or apps show up, I am unable to select them. What could be causing this? Is anyone else facing similar problems?, please.
