What Is This So-called iPhone 4 "Game Grip" For Exactly?

Has anyone used a such a stuff as a "gaming grip"?
I learned this name yesterday when I found a so-called one for iPhone 4. I guessed it was an extra controller at the very beginning, but didn't find any button on it. Then I thought it was a rack, but i cannot see how to play game with it. So is there anyone to tell me about the grip? I am really interested in it.

it is basically so you can hold it easier. I don't think I would use one myself.

Yeah, it's basically a case shaped like a controller.

To me it looks as if it serves no useful purpose since there are no buttons on it. Since you still have to access the screen for all of your controls, it seems to be more of a hindrance than a help.

I wish apple would make a device that you clip your phone/touch into. It would have a d pad or analog stick on the left and 4 buttons on the right. I would like it to have it's own battery as well that would extend the devices battery life for gaming.

Dammit. Make one apple. You would sell a billion of them.
